Please read. If you have questions, you may contact KI4RWL-Bob Lawrence via email: ki4rwl@gmail.com. > Test Session Fee: $15 cash:  This is the fee that the ARRL VEC charges to process exam results. If for some reason you should fail your initial exam, you can pay an additional $15 if you want to try again at the same exam session.  Or, you can wait until the next exam session; the choice is yours. > FCC License Fee:  As you may or may not be aware of, the FCC enacted a new rule/fee structure of $35 for new call sign licenses/renewals/vanity call sign licenses.  You do NOT need to bring this with you. You will pay this directly to the FCC using their online system (CORES) before your license is issued. Visit this link for more info:  https://www.arrl.org/fcc-application-fee. > FRN Number:  You MUST have this number to fill out the forms for your exam.  We do not accept Social Security numbers for any exam forms. Go here to register for your FREE FRN: https://apps.fcc.gov/coresWeb/publicHome.do.  There is no cost to register.  NOTE:  Make sure to select "individual" when registering. A "how to-guide" link is available here: https://www.fcc.gov/new-users-guide-getting-started-universal-licensing-system-uls. We advise you to bring a printed copy of your FRN info when you come to the exam session. > Photo ID: Bring your photo ID (current driver's license is what most use), along with a photocopy of the ID.  NOTE: if your mailing address is different than what's listed on your ID, please bring a copy of an additional form of ID with your current mailing address (such as a utility bill, vehicle registration, etc.; you can "black out" account info, etc., we just need it to have your printed name and address visible). > CSCE/Current License Copy:  If you are testing for an upgrade, please make sure to bring a printed copy of your existing amateur radio license (you can easily print a reference copy from the FCC ULS). If you have passed a previous exam, but have not received your callsign from the FCC, bring your CSCE (Certificate of Successful Completion of Examinaton) from the previous exam session along with a photo- copy of the CSCE. > Copies of All Documents: While most times we have access to a copier at the test site, we can't always guarantee that we will, so it is very important to bring your own copies. > What Else Should I Bring?:  For a list of acceptable IDs (and other important info) you may need to bring to an exam session, visit this site: https://www.arrl.org/what-to-bring-to-an-exam-session > Handicap Accommodations:  The EOC building does have a handicap access.  Please let us know ahead of time if you require any special arrangements for attending the meeting or for the exam. >> Back to the Testing Information Page <<
